After spending most of 2011 serving in Guatemala,
missionaries Charles and Kim Van Valkenburgh found themselves with the
opportunity to venture out into new areas of ministry on their own.
After prayerful consideration, Gospel Rooted Ministries was born through
the vision God gave the Van Valkenburghs to disciple believers and to
plant churches in Guatemala. GRM’s doctrinal beliefs follow that of the Baptist Faith and Message (2000)
and is guided by an active and prayerful Board of Directors. Our prayer
is that Guatemala is just the beginning and that GRM missionaries will
be planting churches and making disciples all over the world in the
coming years!

Gospel Rooted Ministries is committed to making disciples and
planting churches; guiding them to be rooted, built up, and strengthened
in the gospel of Jesus Christ throughout Central America and the world.
Mission Statement:
Gospel Rooted Ministries exists to proclaim the gospel of Jesus
Christ and make disciples in His name. We seek to glorify God and
fulfill The Great Commission, by:
- Biblically meeting physical needs
- Teaching individuals and families how to grow in faith
- Equipping local pastors and leaders to effectively minister within their communities
- Planting evangelical churches
So then, just as you received Christ Jesus
as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in
him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with
thankfulness. Colossians 2:6-7
